VIPASSANA (2022-2023)

The name of the project is the technique that was taught on the retreat, which is an ancient Buddhist method of meditation. In this project, the models are bathed in vivid, colourful and saturated light in the form of studio lights, coloured gels, long exposure light art

photography and flash photography. Post shoot, the images go through an extensive editing session in Photoshop, to preserve and intensify the colours, textures and abstract shapes. Through the use of projections, artificial intelligence, fabric and props, specialised lighting, a Virtual Reality experience and open space, the viewer becomes part of the work too- an angular human figure revealed moving, exploring and becoming colour saturated and ethereal dreamscapes.
